High Road Services Society is a non-profit organization contracted by Community Living BC to provide daily living supports to adults with developmental disabilities.

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) of High Road Services Society is a highly adaptable individual wo has experience in Business Operations Management within a unionized environment.
The COO will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, stability and functionality of our day to day operations, and will oversee the agencies operations under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer.
The successful incumbent will be a key player in ensuring our continued growth, they will have great people skills, excellent business and finance knowledge, outstanding work ethic and self-motivation and demonstrate the ability to work well independently and collaboratively.
Wages will be based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the management team to set and drive the agencies vision, operational strategies, and hiring requirements;
- Oversee operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture to ensure employees thrive and our outcomes are met;
- Develop and implement policies that promote the agencies culture and vision;
- Adhere to the standards set forward by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and our funding agency;
- Design, plan and implement business strategies, performance management, and annual operations planning;
- Develop and manage program budgets, risk management plans, and cultural competency plans;
- Perform employee reviews and develop corrective action plans if needed;
- Act as an envoy, connector and partnership builder. Foster new collaborative relationships with community partners and local health service providers.
- Oversee the agencies Health and Safety Coordination, including facilitation of workshops and training for staff;
- Provide direct support and coverage for other managers during vacations and unplanned absences;
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Five or more years of experience in upper management role, preferably in program management
- Proven experience in finance and business administration
- Significant skill and experience speaking to a variety of audiences
- A high degree of digital literacy, including demonstrated knowledge in MS Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours (including weekends as required)
