Job Summary:


Reporting to Infrastructure Data Management Supervisor, this role will be the business lead that collaborates with internal Public Works stakeholders to document business processes and identify software functionality to address business needs and put forward business cases for system enhancements, and upgrades to Halton Region's Computerized Maintenance Management System (Infor Public Sector).


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • The Public Works (PW) business lead for InforPS software enhancements and upgrades led through Digital Information Services (DIS).
  • Participate as the Public Works InforPS technical expert on major system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring PW business and data requirements are met.
  • An expert on information and data within InforPS to support the development of interfaces between other corporate systems such as SAP, GIS, Customer Information System (SalesForce), etc.
  • Reviews existing preventive and predictive maintenance programs and work with PW stakeholder to implement enhancements through use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS/InforPS).
  • Oversees technical aspects of the CMMS implementation, and provides technical support as required.
  • Leads system development of the CMMS and provides related end‐user training. This includes the assessment, planning, and project control necessary to meet the System Operations requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal Public Works stakeholders, to evaluate business processes, identify business and data requirements, and recommend InforPS system enhancements, upgrades or solutions to Public Works senior management and DIS(IT), in support of maintenance and asset management practices.
  • Regularly reviews functionality of new releases of InforPS Software and prepares business cases for InforPS upgrades and new system enhancements/configurations.
  • Liaises with other municipalities, professional organizations and associations to deliver or leverage best practices in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (InforPS).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:


Essential

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration or Information Technology.
  • Minimum of three to five (35) years of directly related experience working with InforPS in a municipal water/wastewater environment.
  • Strong project management capabilities, effective time and resource management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, along with strong facilitation, negotiation and dispute resolution skills and ability to communicate with a high degree of diplomacy are required to interface with multiple stakeholders including regional staff, consultants, and key stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of legislation and guidelines related to contract administration and operation and maintenance of municipal water/wastewater infrastructure.
  • Highly proficient with MS-Office and InforPS, and experience with project management.

Preferred

  • Membership and registration with the relevant professional organization and designations (C. Tech, C.E.T., P.Eng., E.I.T., R.P.P., P. Geo., PMP, CPA, etc.)
  • Project Management and InforPS configuration and system functionality as used in a municipal water and wastewater environment.
  • The ability to lead configuration projects and translate business requirements into technical requirements while employ critical thinking towards developing innovative solutions.
