    THE ROLE

    Under the direction of the National Manager, Business Services, they will play a critical role in driving the development, implementation, and optimization of our data platform, ensuring it meets the needs of our organization and supports our strategic objectives.

    This includes:

    • Planning, designing and leading the implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics architecture, -
    • Leading architecture sizing and scaling activities, including solutions.
    • Managing implementation and day-to-day operation of BI/Analytics solutions
    • Performing cost-benefit and return on investment analysis for proposed solutions to assist management with implementation decisions.

    They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data solutions. They will develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance. They will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance, reliability, and usability of the data platform.

    This position will provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. They are also responsible for collaborating with Business IM/IT Product teams and other Platform teams in support of their delivery roadmaps, sprint planning, process improvement, and technology planning. The incumbent will need experience in Agile and Project Management Frameworks, product management, and working with fusion teams (IT and Business).

    QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

    Education, Certifications and Licenses

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field, AND some years of experience in data, analytics or BI architecture, data-driven application or solution architecture or a related field

    Experience

    In managing, planning, developing, deploying, implementing and supporting enterprise-wide systems and applications

    In successfully leading data platform initiatives from conception to implementation

    In working in an Agile environment and familiarity with Agile methodologies.

    In managing multiple priorities and deliver projects on time and within budget

    In systems architecture and design

    In software integration technologies (Azure Integration Services, BizTalk or others)

    In Microsoft Azure Data platform- related technologies

    In systems analysis, data administration and software engineering

    In personnel administration

    In budget administration

    In providing advice and support in the field of IT standards, strategies and practices

    In developing and managing IT contracts and consulting services

    Skills and Abilities

    Knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks, data architecture, data modeling, and database design principles.

    Proficiency in data engineering concepts and technologies, including data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), data modeling, and data integration.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

    English or French Essential, Bilingual (English and French) an asset

    Reading: Advanced Level

    Writing: Functional Level

    Oral: Advanced Level

    OTHER INFORMATION

    This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.
