    Description

    Brandt is currently looking for a Resident Heavy Equipment Technician for the High Level and surrounding area, reporting to our Grande Prairie branch.

    This role involves repairing and maintaining construction and forestry equipment and attachments in a workshop setting.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Efficiently assess, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy-duty equipment
    • Safely and efficiently use secondary materials and equipment
    • Utilize hand and power tools, related instruments, secondary equipment, and computer systems
    • Thoroughly document machine information, actions taken, and time spent on work orders
    • Continuously evaluate service task risks to ensure safe and high-standard work
    • Document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis using computer applications and information systems
    • Locate and order parts using parts catalogues
    • Perform road tests on equipment and check attachment operation as needed


    Required Skills

    • Effective communication and collaboration with customers, service team, and branch personnel
    • Ability to handle physical requirements such as climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, sensory processing, and fine motor control
    • Capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds


    Required Experience

    • Preferably, previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment
    • Certification as a Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent
    • Dedication to customer service and excellence
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills with customers, service team, and branch personnel
    • Ability to handle physical requirements such as climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, sensory processing, and fine motor control
    • Capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
