Keewatin Air LP is the primary provider of Medevac and Air Ambulance services for the Government of Nunavut, providing extensive 24-hour emergency air ambulance service.

Operating in Canada, the fleet consists of King Air, Citation, and Pilatus aircraft. Additionally, we provide 24/7 aviation general transportation services to many Federal/Provincial departments, Agencies, Crown Corporations, and the general public
.

Position Summary:


Our Flight Coordinators are part of a team of highly trained aviation and aeromedical experts providing logistics and communications support for emergency medical evacuations and charter flights.

The primary duty of the Flight Coordinator is to be responsible for the dispatch and coordination of all crew and nursing personnel while coordinating all the necessary logistics associated with the flights.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for coordinating all company flights assigned to the base, including medevac and charter flights
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with all parties to ensure Keewatin Air flights are carried out safely
  • Provide flight watch duties for all medevac and charter flights, monitoring the progress of the flight from commencement to termination, including intermediate stops
  • Performs as a positive representative of Keewatin Air in interactions with the customer
  • Provide administrative, operational and customer service support to all other departments and personnel, as required.
  • Possess the ability to make informed decisions without compromising internal policies/procedures

Education and Experience:

  • Grade 12 diploma
  • Experience in flight coordination preferred
  • Canadian Radio License (Aeronautical)
  • Required prior to first day of work
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Ability to read and interpret aviation weather (NAV Canada) an asset
  • Aviation background considered an asset
  • Able to read, write and fluently speak English to communicate effectively with others and while using a radio

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$14.00-$25.00 per hour
