The Opportunity:


Postmedia Editorial Services has openings for accomplished editors with a minimum of five years of experience in a fast-paced daily newspaper environment.


What you'll do:


  • Our editors must have a keen eye for detail and ensure the highest quality of work is being produced.
  • They will have a solid understanding of news, and be equally comfortable editing arts, sports and news copy or reshaping display type.
  • The successful applicants are expected to balance accuracy and speed and be fully accountable for their work.
  • Our editors will be savvy communicators in a webbased chat environment, and able to give and receive instruction with grace.
  • This is a work from home position.

Who you are:


  • Talent for writing clever headlines with clarity that capture the essence of a story;
  • Excellent grammar, comprehension and editing skills;
  • Strong organizational skills with good attention to detail;
  • Experience in a fastpaced daily newsroom;
  • Good interpersonal communication skills;
  • Ability to resolve conflict and solve problems;
  • Proficiency in CP style;
  • Experience slotting a daily newspaper;
  • Pagination skills, with a strong design sense.


Postmedia Editorial Services operates seven days per week, and applicants must be prepared to work nights, weekends and statutory holidays.
