Contributes to the overall success of the International Banking Technology - Risk Technology & GRM Risk Technology in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

Ensures all activities conducted are following governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.


Is this role right for you?

  • 3 to 5 years experience as business/technical analyst, including support, data management, and operations is an asset
  • Desirable experience with FICO TRIAD product.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with precise articulation of ideas, scenarios, and options
  • Excellent research skills to find potential sources of information that is either internal or external to the bank
  • Strong detailed oriented personality, troubleshooting and problemsolving skills, have vision and innovative approach to solutioning business logics/design and ability to convey ideas to others
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a dynamic changing environment, to manage competing priorities, and to make quick and sound decisions under pressure
  • Able to lead and guide discussions internally and externally for securing stakeholder signoff, finalizing business logic decisions, and problem resolutions
  • Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
  • Exceptional leadership skills to review processes and procedures to create efficiencies, eliminate duplication and provide organization support to achieve business objectives
  • Strong relationship management with an ability to establish productive relationships between various leaders, departments, and partners across the organization
  • Ability to manage processes and planning, facilitate teamwork and coordinate execution of multiple deliverables
  • Proactive team Player, resultsoriented, customerfocused and attentive to detail

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Manage multiple small projects and/or lead specific sections of large projects to implement solutions to business problems. This involves planning and scheduling resources, developing detailed project plans, monitoring progress against planned objectives, financial review, and securing consensus and cooperation from users and senior management.
  • Leads in the systems implementation process by defining business requirements and processes defining user procedures and workflows, developing conversion and implementation strategies, verifying conversion, providing user documentation, providing user training, and providing postimplementation support.
  • Work closely with QAT in developing test strategies and test cases, performing testing,
  • Create & Manage Requirements Traceability matrix to ensure requirements are translated into solutions that can be successfully deployed. Facilitate discussions within project team to resolve issues & arrive at risk mitigation plan
  • Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of Risk Technology business & IT&S strategies and policies, practices and methodologies, and rapidly changing technology to be able to provide effective business solutions and services to the end user business lines.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
