Teaching Assistant (1 Position - CUPE 3902, Unit 2)
EDS360Y1Y:
Education Internship - Students are required to complete an internship in an educational environment. This can be satisfied by participation in an organization with the approval of the Program Coordinator. This role will involve assisting the Program Coordinator with the Education Internship course in the Education & Society Program.
Students are required to complete an internship in an educational environment which includes a requisite number of internship hours and additional coursework requirements.

Salary:
$47.64 hourly rate as per CUPE agreement (currently January 2023 rate).
Qualifications required:
- Graduate student in Education (Ph.
- Experience teaching in K12 or university/college settings
- Previous experience supervising internships an asset
- Familiarity with the Ontario College of Teachers Standards of Professional Practice
- Must have excellent time management skills and meet ongoing, weekly deadlines
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills
- Must have high capacity for objective, consistent evaluation of student performance
Description of duties:
The TA's responsibilities include tracking assignment submissions, grading assignments and responding to assignment-related student inquiries.
Additionally, the TA must be available for occasional in-person meetings, and attendance at the bi-annual Forum in November and March for assistance with grading student presentations.
