The Team
The Global Wholesale and Risk Technology Team is a crucial part of the Global Technologies Applications team. This is an opportunity to work in the exciting world of Capital markets. We are looking for an
Application Support Specialist to join this dynamic team.


Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Ensure incident and change management processes are executed as mandated, partnering with various internal teams and divisions for reporting purposes and to develop necessary improvements for improved operational efficiencies, reduced costs and improved customer satisfaction.
  • Manage resolution of service delivery escalate issues, lead service recovery teams, ensure that root cause analysis is conducted.
  • Provide daytoday support to all units Globally to resolve highly complex and multifaceted business problems, including new and existing product and deal structuring, ad hoc queries and MIS, user training, and assisting with the design and implementation of systems enhancements.
  • The incumbent must have advanced knowledge of financial instruments, including market conventions and valuation methods, risk management methodologies and models including best practices, current and anticipated regulatory requirements, Back Office processes and the endtoend workflows among the Front, Middle and Back Offices within at least one financial market area (e.g. foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives) and a very good knowledge of at least one other financial market area.
  • Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of the Division's business strategies and policies, risk management practices and methodologies, product offerings, financial markets, financial instruments, regulatory requirements, Back Office processes, and rapidly changing technology to be able to provide effective business solutions and services to the end user business lines.
  • The incumbent must have proven interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills in order to build consensus

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Strong SQL scripting skills
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and products, in particular Derivative Products
  • A strong focus on client service and delivery with trading desk facing experience
  • Working knowledge of MarkitWire. (Knowledge with WSS, ICELink would be an asset)
  • Experience supporting trading systems and how trades flow front to back. Should be comfortable assessing trading systems/components to investigate trade breaks, connectivity, and data issues.
