About the role:

The infrastructure team is responsible for operating multiple datacenters and providing services such as server builds and support, storage solutions, messaging and directory services, hardware and end user support.

As a member of the team, responsibilities will include support of Windows and Linux servers in an on premise environment performing basic monitoring, log checking, patching, network administration (DHCP, DNS), equipment installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and technical support.

Knowledge of production support process including incident/change/problem management, call triaging, maintenance of run documentation, and critical issue resolution procedures is a must.


What you will do:


  • Upgrade and patch ESXi hosts.
  • Triage and resolve incidents and service requests in the infrastructure queue.
  • Advanced experience with Active Directory (FSMO roles, AD group management), DFS and IIS.
  • Advanced knowledge of managing VMware ESXi, 7.x and virtual machines.
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco UCS chassis and blades.
  • Manage assignment using What's Up Gold and Dynatrace monitoring tools, PowerShell or other related tools and software.
  • Experience with PowerShell or other scripting.
  • Coordinate backup and recovery strategies in order to ensure that servers and databases can be recovered in the case of a disaster.
  • Provide support for on call issues. Requires 24/7 availability on a rotational basis to resolve system issues that arise.
  • Assist in developing and implementing security strategies in order to ensure data and services are secure.
  • Maintain and create infrastructure related documentation as needed.
  • Follow proper change management processes and practices.
  • Other duties as required

What it takes:


  • Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in a computer related field, or 5 years related technical experience coupled with Network, Database, and Systems Certification
  • CCNA or similar, MCTS inSQL
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and operating systems for Intel based servers, workstations, associated peripherals, SANs, and distributed systems architecture.
  • Expert in using ITSM tools such as Service Now with incident, change, configuration and problem management.
  • Knowledge of information security standards and compliance requirements
  • Experience with Cisco UC and NetApp SAN preferred.
  • Netscaler experience is an asset
  • Experience working with Veeam backup software.
  • Experience working with and managing Microsoft Exchange 201
  • Prior exposure to cloud hosting providers such as AWS is an asset.
  • Communicates effectively with users of Information Systems services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize conflicting demands.
  • Executes assigned project tasks within established schedules.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the job.
  • Proven ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude.
