Rock-Tech Paving is a local Prince George Paving Company. Our office is located at 4943 Continental Way in Prince George, B.C. V2N-5S5.

We are looking to for an experienced Paving Foreman/ Supervisor


Responsibilities

• Work in a team setting as a member of our paving crew, will be required to have extensive knowledge in all aspects of paving.
• Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
• Perform other activities as directed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to work with limited supervision
• Must be team player and must be willing to participate in company safety and production requirements
• Familiarity with active construction sites
• Effective communication skills; must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs, report progress or issues to foreman/lead hand
• Have good judgment and ability to make decisions
• Responsible and dependable
• Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly through an entire work shift
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
• Requires good manual dexterity
• Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
• Able to pass any preaccess screening, including a Drug and Alcohol test
• Valid Drivers Licence
• CSTS and other safety certifications are assets
• Must have Experience raking, rolling, screeding

Working Conditions

• Must be physically fit
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders up to 10 meters in height
• Must be willing to work up to 12+ hour shift in the hot summer months
• Physically able to work outdoors performing hard labour tasks

Experience/ Qualifications

• Experience with civil construction, earthworks and concrete are all assets
• Must have a minimum of 4 years of paving experience
