Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and procedures.
Implement and maintain strong internal control processes to safeguard assets and provide accurate financial statements.
Conduct monthly and quarterly reviews to ensure accurate and timely reporting, including store cutoff, financial results, intercompany reconciliations, and subsidiary records.
Oversee the yearly store budget process and ensure accurate recording and filing of taxes.
Manage the yearend plan to deliver accurate financial results within the specified deadlines.
Implement processes and procedures to ensure accurate store inventory management.
Drive innovation by implementing new accounting practices, procedures, and reporting methodologies.
Develop and maintain relevant performance metrics and financial statements for store operations.
Manage the maintenance of reporting tools used by the accounting team.
Provide support for the DRIVE program, including driver support and evaluations.

Qualifications:

Professional accounting designation.
Minimum of 7 years of related experience, including at least 3 years of leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, corporate taxes, budgeting, and forecasting.
Proven ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Solid organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation.
Proficiency in MS Office and Financial Reporting software.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proactive mindset with willingness to learn.
