Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and procedures.
- Implement and maintain strong internal control processes to safeguard assets and provide accurate financial statements.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly reviews to ensure accurate and timely reporting, including store cutoff, financial results, intercompany reconciliations, and subsidiary records.
- Oversee the yearly store budget process and ensure accurate recording and filing of taxes.
- Manage the yearend plan to deliver accurate financial results within the specified deadlines.
- Implement processes and procedures to ensure accurate store inventory management.
- Drive innovation by implementing new accounting practices, procedures, and reporting methodologies.
- Develop and maintain relevant performance metrics and financial statements for store operations.
- Manage the maintenance of reporting tools used by the accounting team.
- Provide support for the DRIVE program, including driver support and evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Professional accounting designation.
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience, including at least 3 years of leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, corporate taxes, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proven ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Solid organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Financial Reporting software.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proactive mindset with willingness to learn.
