Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal control processes to safeguard assets and provide accurate financial statements.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly reviews to ensure accurate and timely reporting, including store cutoff, financial results, intercompany reconciliations, and subsidiary records.
  • Oversee the yearly store budget process and ensure accurate recording and filing of taxes.
  • Manage the yearend plan to deliver accurate financial results within the specified deadlines.
  • Implement processes and procedures to ensure accurate store inventory management.
  • Drive innovation by implementing new accounting practices, procedures, and reporting methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain relevant performance metrics and financial statements for store operations.
  • Manage the maintenance of reporting tools used by the accounting team.
  • Provide support for the DRIVE program, including driver support and evaluations.

Qualifications:


  • Professional accounting designation.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience, including at least 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, corporate taxes, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Financial Reporting software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive mindset with willingness to learn.
