Parts Specialist to join our team

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform record keeping, entering data into computer systems, and tracking inventory.
Be able to explain parts information clearly, answer questions, and resolve issues efficiently.
Use a variety of computer systems and other tools to research parts information and place orders.
Keep track of inventory and ensure that orders are processed and delivered on time.
Aid mechanics and other staff members.
Act professionally and be responsive to requests and inquiries.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Knowledge of parts and inventory management techniques including how to receive, store, and issue parts to mechanics and other staff.
General knowledge of different types of parts used in locomotive and freight cars.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure that correct parts are ordered, received, and distributed accurately.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with mechanics, vendors, and other staff.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to manage workloads efficiently, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure.
Excellent customer service skills
Valid Class G driver's license
Must be able to provide a clean driver abstract, criminal background check, and a drug & alcohol test.
Experience working with parts and inventory management systems or related field is an asset.
