ELITE EXCAVATING INC. is a COR-certified construction company that employs those who are reliable, hardworking and have a positive attitude. We are currently looking to add a Supervisor/ Superintendent to our team.Key Responsibilities:
- Promote safety in all activities, leading in safe work plan development, hazard assessments, FLHA's, and providing mentorship to the crew.
- Provide clear guidance to team members through leading safety meetings and inspections.
- Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to quality control standards and identifying resource requirements.
- Drive excellence in quality, efficiency, and productivity among work crews.
- Direct teams on productivity issues and monitor work performance, collaborating closely with Foremen and crews to address challenges.
- Ensure strict compliance with project plans and budgets while consistently meeting production goals.
- Assist the Forepersons in interpreting complex drawings, specifications, and work requirements into prioritized work plans.
- Effectively prioritize tasks and minimize downtime on sites by understanding the scope and sequencing of work.
- Collaborate seamlessly with General Contractors to determine equipment and labor resource needs.
- Work closely with the project team to manage daily goals, ensuring alignment with forecasted production, schedules, and budgets.
- Foster a cohesive and highperforming team through effective instruction, comprehensive training, coaching, and teambuilding initiatives.
- Uphold our commitment to quality by overseeing the thorough preparation and submission of all required reports, documentation, and logs.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the heavy construction industry.
- Expertise in structural excavation, parking lot excavation/base, sewer and water, earthworks, grading, hauling, and beyond.
- Proven experience in managing dump trucks, subcontractors, and dump sites.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints, turning them into actionable plans.
- Thorough knowledge of SAFE Work Manitoba legislation and COR safety standards, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Exceptional multitasking abilities, thriving in dynamic and fastpaced environments.
- Stellar interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, vital for effective team management.
- Valid Driver's License is a musthave.
- Flexibility to work project schedules, including overtime and/or weekends, as needed.
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Pay:
$110,000.00 per year
