We are also licensed and offer a selection of wine and spirits to complement our wide array of products.

***: The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily/shift operations to ensure the floor runs at full efficiency and that customers receive the highest level of service excellence. The Supervisor will also support in inventory, ordering, and administrative duties. This entry-level role is a great opportunity to gain supervisory experience within hospitality.

We are looking for both full-time and part-time Supervisors at both of our locations (Mount Pleasant and Alberni).


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Other duties may be assigned as required)

  • Actively engage with guests, cultivating relationships and guest satisfaction
  • Support in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new frontofhouse staff
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly inventory counts and inputting counts into reporting system
  • Proactively place orders each week and project upcoming inventory needs
  • Open/close store when scheduled
  • Manage staff and effectively and efficiently run daily shifts to ensure labour targets are met
  • Organize daily cake order forms and work with kitchen to manage ordering needs
  • Respond to all incoming inquiries and provide extensive product knowledge to all customers
  • Troubleshoot any maintenance or technological issues throughout your shift
  • Manage instore customer complaints and resolve negative situations to guarantee customers leave with a positive Thierry experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • At least one year of experience in a hospitality/retail/food service environment
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Postsecondary education in a related field such as Business or Hospitality Management
  • An excellent multitasker with an eye for detail
  • Organized and able to work under pressure in a very busy environment
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Serving It Right Certification
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts
