ELECTRICAL MANAGER POSITION

ABOUT US
Denver Electric Ltd.

is a division of Denver Property Restoration Services and has been providing certified electricians for a wide range of services in the residential, commercial, emergency and maintenance projects across Winnipeg and Northern Communities in Manitoba and Ontario.


ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY


As an Electrical Manager the successful applicant will be reporting to the General Manager and will be responsible for the planning, providing electrical quotes, coordination, and execution of projects from start to finish.


ABOUT THE POSITION
Adhere strictly to industry and the company's safety standards and ensuring:

  • Support and promote core values of Denver Electric.
  • Interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and specifications to guide the installation process.
  • Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Engage in business development activities to grow the business.
  • Develop and coordinate schedules, resource plans, procurement, and project tracking.
  • Control costs and maximize productivity by implementing best practices and standard processes.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
  • Attend progress meetings as requested. Collaborate with the General Manager and project managers to oversee contracts and budgets.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks or delays, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Provide technical knowledge and expertise to the Project Administrators. Manage project finances through ongoing job forecasting.
  • Obtain necessary electrical permits and licenses. Oversee preconstruction meetings to ensure successful handoff from estimating to the field.
  • Determine resource needs (labor, equipment, and materials) from start to finish, keeping budgetary limitations in mind.
  • Establish clear goals and expectations for electricians and provide coaching/counseling for employee growth and development.
  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met. Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
  • Estimate change orders for assigned projects, as necessary.
  • Conduct postproject reviews to identify areas for improvement in the future.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships within the industry.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years experience in the construction industry (Electrical Journeyman ticket or prior Electrical Management Experience)
  • Excellent industry knowledge of products, practices, and standards
  • Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and experience managing contracts and budgets

$65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
