  • The Police Support Services Department requires a regular fulltime Operational Communications Centre Supervisor at the RCMP Detachment.
    Responsibilities
  • In this position, you will supervise, train, schedule, and conduct the performance reviews of a large group of Operational Communications Centre staff working rotating shifts who are engaged in emergency telephone report taking and radio dispatching. You will provide direction and guidance on work related issues; assist in staff recruitment; design, arrange, and conduct training sessions with prepared lesson plans and course materials; and, develop and maintain operating/police manuals. You will also conduct orientation sessions for police members, liaise with a variety of contacts, and perform Communications Operator 2 duties in shortterm situations as required.

Requirements:


Compensation
- $39.17 to $46.24 per hour- (Pay Grade 2
  • January 2023 rates)
    Hours of Work
  • Any seven (7) consecutive hours, between the hours of 6:00am and 10:00pm, exclusive of an unpaid one hour meal break; any five consecutive days of seven; compressed work schedule one scheduled day off approximately each threeweek scheduling cycle.
    Additional Information
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an RCMP security clearance as a condition of ongoing employment.
    _Please note that the salary and hours of work for this position are currently under review in alignment with processes defined within City policy and the collective agreement with __CUPE_
