Summary:

Duties may include notifying management of need for repairs, cleaning floors and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalks. The Maintenance Worker shall ensure that the grounds are maintained appropriately. The maintenance worker may spend half of the week in a program area receiving and sorting donations.


Hours of Work: 70 hours bi-weekly $17.80 per hour


Job Duties could include but not limited to:

  • Perform general clean-up of facilities.
  • Comply with Health and Safety and WHMIS requirements for Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Sweep, mop, polish, of halls, board room, store, café etc
  • Clean light fixtures and change light bulbs/tubes.
  • Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, and debris, sweep and clean gutters)
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Receive, sort and price donations.
  • Ability to perform small repairs (e.g., caulking, replacing washers, and replacing light fixtures).
