Work Schedule: 40 hrs / week (flexible shifts)


Position Overview


First Truck Centre, doing business as Velocity Truck Centres Canada, is looking for an experienced Mobile Heavy-Duty Technicians who is ready to build a long-term career working on all OEM Heavy Duty Trucks and Trailers.

Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain OEM class 6,7, and 8 vehicles in the field in the Northern Okanagan region.
  • Test systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults.
  • Ensure professional quality detail and craftsmanship. Maintain efficient and accurate workmanship in a safe and professional environment.
  • Implement workflow procedures and continuous improvement initiatives for the department.

Qualifications

  • Strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
  • Commercial Transport (Truck and Transport Mechanic) Journeyman Certificate (or Red Seal).
  • Initiativetaker able to work in a fastpaced, detailed, and processdriven environment.
  • Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift.
  • Must have own tools (required tool list will be provided).
  • Experience in time management.
  • Class 5 driver's license.
  • Class 1, Class 3, and MVI Certifications are a bonus.
