Job Overview
As a Construction Sales Manager you will be responsible for cultivating leads and sales in a highly competitive market. Your role will be crucial in driving sales and ensuring accurate project estimation.


Location, Hours of Work and Overtime:

This is a hybrid role that will involve a combination of remote and on-site work at various locations as required by the company's projects.

The primary location for this role will be in the field with administrative duties completed remotely. Regular travel to the company's various job sites will be required.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Sales and

Project Sourcing:
_

  • Cultivate leads and sales to meet company goals and achieve revenue targets.
  • Prepare and follow through on quotes and estimates for potential projects.
  • Negotiation:_
  • Negotiate with general contractors and subcontractors to obtain profitable construction contracts.
  • Prepare contracts, contract amendments, and written project correspondence.
  • Project Coordination:_
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, clients, and stakeholders and take projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed within scope, on time, and within budget.
  • Partner with the Construction Project Manager to coordinate project scope, timelines, staffing, and subtrades.
  • Coordinate with the Construction Project Coordinator to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction throughout the sales and estimation process.
  • Financial Management:_
  • Ensure project profitability goals are met throughout the project.
  • Approve all vendor and subtrade invoices in accordance with project budget.
  • Reporting:_
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, documentation, and progress status reports.
  • Generate and maintain monthly sales reports, including the status of projects under contract, completed projects, and future projections.

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Degree or diploma in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
  • Experience as a Project Manager or Project Coordinator is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Proven experience in a senior sales role in the construction or related industry, with a track record of driving sales and achieving revenue targets.
  • Proficient in lead generation, cultivating new business opportunities, and closing sales deals.
  • Knowledge of construction project estimation and methods and processes (both new builds and restoration projects).
  • Ability to prepare accurate quotes and estimates for construction projects.
  • Expertise in coordinating with Construction Project Managers to align sales activities with project execution.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure profitable construction contracts with general contractors and subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of contract management and preparation of projectrelated documentation.
  • Understanding of project financials and profitability goals to ensure successful project estimation.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Clientcentric approach to provide exceptional service and ensure client satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Willingness to collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Construction Project Manager and Construction Project Coordinator, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Organized approach to maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and navigate challenges in the construction sales landscape.
  • Commitment to staying updated on industry best practices, sales techniques, and construction market trends.
  • Willingness to continuously improve sales strategies and processes.
  • Demonstrated ethical conduct and integrity in all sales negotiation activities.

Salary and Benefits:


  • Fulltime Monday to Friday.
  • Base salary of $80,000 per annum + a tiered commission rate based on project profitability.
  • 2weeks paid vacation, annually.
  • 5 paid sick days, annually.
