Job summary
The Utility Operator is responsible for the operations of equipment in a safe, productive, and efficient manner on a Civil Construction worksite according to the scope of the project and the work being performed.
+Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of equipment to move or displace earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction related activities in a safe productive and efficient manner.
- Conduct pre-operational and post-operational checks on equipment keep equipment clean perform any basic maintenance or troubleshooting as required.
- Acknowledge instructions from Team Lead Shift Supervisor as directed adjust work strategy according to changing conditions policies procedures as needed Participate toolbox meetings provide suggestions for improvement safety Strong focus safety attendance Advise Team Lead Shift Supervisor any required maintenance repairs equipment Maintain safe disposition times ensure site client more importantly fellow personnel drivers Comply all policies procedures requirements laid out by client times while site
- Maintain clean three year driver abstract At least years verifiable experience in an operating role Civil Construction Earthworks Utility environment CSO BSO OSSA required Ability speak write read English College industry courses heavy operating considered asset Must legally eligible work Canada
