Summary:
The Purchasing Assistant will play a crucial role in our power generation projects by supporting the procurement and supply chain functions.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of our dynamic organization while working in a collaborative and innovative environment.
The position will be based at the Enerflex office in Ste-Julie, Quebec.Principle Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting in the equipment selection process.
- Find price and lead time for the components of the project.
- Generating purchase orders and coordinating with suppliers.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of all procurement activities.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to identify costeffective and reliable suppliers.
- Handle administrative tasks related to purchasing, including documentation and filing.
- Communicate with the engineering departments to gather purchasing requirements and ensure timely deliveries.
- Resolve any supplyrelated issues promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Electromechanics technical background, DEC or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of previous experience in a procurement or purchasing role is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
- A strong team player who is excited to work with collaborative environment.
- Good communication skills in French and in English
- Familiarity with the power generation industry is a plus.
