Program Manager, Family Hotel Program and Rental Assistance Program for Families
The Program Manager is responsible for the supervision of staff, students, and volunteers of Blue Doors.
Working with the Director, Programs Housing and Health, the Program Manager will assist in program development and implementation of the new Family Hotel Program and Rental Assistance Program for Families, ensuring that goals of the programs are consistent with the agency's philosophy, are client-centred, are understood by all persons working in the program, and are consistent with the intent of the program.
The incumbent will ensure that the agency's goals and policies are met and adhered to.The Program Manager will participate in the agency's planning process and represent the Agency at various committees and forums in the community.
What does a Program Manager do?
- Participate in the hiring of staff and support and facilitate the onboarding of new hires orientation.
- Supervise staff, students and volunteers of the program to ensure the mandate of the program is carried out and is consistent with the goals of the Agency and adherence to all Agency policies and procedures.
- Conduct staff performance reviews and provide regular supervision during all shifts as required and maintain appropriate documentation.
- In the absence of staff, undertake all frontline staff duties including direct service work with clients.
- Share oncall responsibility.
- Oversee direct program expenditures; participate in Agency strategic planning and budgeting processes.
What you bring to the table:
- Minimum Bachelor of Social Work Degree or equivalent combination of Bachelor level education and experience.
- Experience in an organized labour environment.
- Excellent coaching, team building and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in database management.
- Experience working within a harm reduction philosophy.
Salary information:
$60,000 to $65,000 annual salary dependent on experience.

$60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift

- Vaughan, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
