You'll work as a part of our global team with a mandate to support our North American offices in implementing programs to support and deliver sustainable, Net Zero projects for our clients, in part through our own "Living Lab" offices to test and refine solutions.

    Job overview:

    As a Senior Sustainability Specialist, it will be your job to support global brands and high-impact clients in the visioning and road mapping of their decarbonization, wellbeing and sustainability programs – for both individual offices and across portfolios. In addition, you will be a key member in establishing our internal offerings, educating our design and delivery teams, and working to achieve our SBTi goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead planning, designing, and implementation of client sustainability programs to define and achieve emission reduction objectives, including net zero goals, setting and validating official Science Based Targets (SBTi) and other decarbonization pathways
    • Collaborate with our architecture, design, strategy, engineering and delivery teams to develop best-in-class sustainable designs
    • Work with clients to achieve their certification goals, and prepare certification documentation for LEED and WELL projects
    • Keep up-to-date with any North American developments in sustainability reporting
    • Educate and advise on M Moser's teams on sustainability trends including carbon management
    • Establish and maintain relationships with other sustainability consultants, NGOs, regulatory entities, vendors and product/service companies
    • Use expertise in sustainability to develop new client relationships and expand existing relationships by delivering strategic consulting advice, excellent value, and quality servic
    • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members, supporting the build-out of our global team

    Qualifications and Key Competencies:

    • 7-15 years of experience as a Sustainability Specialist or related
    • Bachelors degree in a relevant field – sustainability, sustainable architecture, environmental science, environmental engineering, or equivalent
    • Minimum of one industry qualification (two or more preferred): LEED, WELL, RESET, FitWel etc.
    • Significant experience in delivering Sustainability consultancy for clients is essential. This includes the areas of energy and net zero carbon, water, waste, circular economy, biodiversity. Previous experience delivering LEED and WELL certified projects is required.
    • Knowledge of sustainable sourcing procedures (e.g., C2C, FSC)
    • Strong analytical skills, with experience in qualitative and qualitative analysis
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with all types and levels of professionals
    • Confident leading and working alone or as part of a team, with ability to adapt as required
    • Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
