Environmental Services Manager - Hamilton, Canada - Summit Heights Retirement Residence
Description
As the Environmental Service Manager you would be responsible for the building's preventative maintenance program.You would coordinate the maintenance and repairs involving the building and the grounds, including the pool, and you would manage maintenance contracts.
In addition, you would be responsible for day-to-day maintenance issues, and would response to residents maintenance needs.
You would work with other departments in order to coordinate the maintenance and repair activities with other building functions so as not to disturb or interrupt resident activities or normal business functions.
The successful applicant will have:
- Proven experience in the maintenance of equipment and building systems, including a basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and safety systems.
- Ability to selfregulate and work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a Retirement Residence would be an asset.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Preventative maintenance
- Inspection and maintenance of facilities to maintain a safe and attractive environment
- Responding to emergency situations
- Maintaining an adequate inventory of day to day supplies
