Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Indigenous Engagement & Financial Literacy, the Indigenous Engagement
Program Manager is responsible for driving and supporting the ongoing development and expansion of
CPABC's Indigenous Engagement initiatives. This includes being a key contributor and primary force
behind the successful implementation of pilot programs and various events and initiatives, while working
alongside the Indigenous Engagement & Financial Literacy Coordinator to keep the team aware of all
deadlines and deliverables.

**Key Responsibilities: In collaboration with the Director, Indigenous Engagement & Financial Literacy, develop and
promote programs and activities that support and enable our Indigenous Engagement strategy,
utilizing prior experience and knowledge to create sustainable, impactful and meaningful
solutions;

Liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including our members and employees,
local schools, government agencies and partner organizations;

Establish and foster a network of professional relationships with allied agencies, communities and
entities in support of driving our Indigenous Engagement initiatives forward;

Identify opportunities to promote and advance CPABC's Indigenous Engagement initiatives in a
way that supports both Indigenous peoples/communities and the profession;

Deliver programs and services to identified communities and stakeholders

gather feedback afterwards;

Create, review and deliver presentations as needed, working with internal Communications team
to ensure appropriate branding and imaging is used;

Track and coordinate assigned projects, consultations and meetings, provide regular status
reports, including follow-up, as required;

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

**Key Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or post-secondary qualification in a related discipline, or equivalent experience;

Three (3) plus years of experience in a community engagement, program management or business
development capacity, or similar function;

Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbally and written;

Proven self-starter with a high degree of initiative and the ability to see projects through to
culmination;

Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum
supervision;

High degree of tact, professionalism and confidentiality;

Attention to detail, refined organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task;

Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;

Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure;

Access to reliable transportation with the ability to travel up to 50% of the time, as required to attend
meetings and events, including those with Indigenous communities;

Ability to work with youth or those individuals who may be included in the Government of Canada's
definition of "vulnerable sector".

**Preferred Experience: Previous experience working in, on or with an Indigenous community, specifically British Columbia
Indigenous communities, would be beneficial;

Proven ability to foster understanding and engage with a variety of Indigenous Peoples and
communities, with a particular focus on relationship-building, is preferred;

An interest and passion for Indigenous studies, including prior experience researching and

Our head office is located in downtown Vancouver, BC. There is an opportunity for this role to
work remotely from your own community within BC. Your preferred work arrangement will be discussed
