Barnstorm is an Emmy and VES-nominated visual effects studio located in Burbank, CA and Vancouver, BC, providing photo-realistic visual effects for a variety of television and online streaming projects. We pride ourselves in our artists' talent and dedication to producing world-class visual effects.
We are looking for a Layout Artist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Create camera moves and rough blocking animation within a digital environment
Develop solutions for the tracking of 3D cameras and solve problems that may arise
Create scene layout in Maya by interpreting the previs to build the foundation of the shot and sequence
Participate in the development of setups for the different stages of production in 3D and solve potential problems
If required, light, render and composite files with the background to judge the move
Update Production on the progress of task

Skills and Qualifications:

2 years if Layout experience in feature film or television
Experience with Maya
Working knowledge of Nuke
Experience in a similar position, within the VFX industry
Excellent sense of prioritization and respect of deadline
