All students must be full time day students at a recognized secondary or post-secondary institution and be returning to full time attendance in Fall of 2024.

Students must meet the basic requirements of the position. Should you be offered the position, with the City of Cornwall, you will be required to submit verification of school status.

Requirements:

• Assist in planning and implementation of residential, multi-residential and Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) organic waste program.
• Assist in planning and implementation of other waste management initiatives, including blue box transition and clear bag waste collection.
• Update various departmental databases.
• To be a representative of the City of Cornwall and maintain outstanding public relations skills and professional image at all times.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: (documentation to be provided at time of application unless indicated not required)

• College or University in Environmental field or Engineering field;
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• Must possess the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment;
• Must be able to perform all physical duties related to the position;
• Must have Class G Drivers License;
• Must provide a Drivers Abstract;
• Must obtain and maintain a satisfactory CPIC (Criminal Record Check), at the candidates own expense.
