What you'll do:

Consult and give legal advice to staff regarding lending and other corporate functions
Help develop and interpret lending policies, forms and procedures
Stay uptodate with legislation affecting FCC and spell out how it could impact business
Respond to legal inquiries from customers, external legal counsel and other government Crowns
Support projects like new loan products or proposed changes to corporate policy

What we're looking for:

Indepth knowledge of legal concepts, processes and best practices
Skilled communicator able to explain complex information in a way that's easy to understand
Strategic thinker who can collect, analyze and develop objectives from multiple sources
Relationshipbuilder comfortable working with colleagues at all levels and across disciplines

What you'll need:

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) and at least three years of experience in corporate legal function or private practice (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
