We are looking for an Emergency Management Analyst to support our Security Branch. The Emergency Management (EM) Analyst would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.


The role of Emergency Management (EM) Analyst is to provide direct support to clients in the development, implementation and exercising of Building Emergency Response Plans and other preparedness activities.

As an EM Analyst you would also plan, organize and assist in the delivery of various initiatives to support the NRC's EM Program.


Screening Criteria:


Education:

Successful completion of post-secondary diploma or a combination of education and acceptable experience in a relevant field.

Studies in the field of emergency management will be considered an asset.

Experience:


  • Significant experience in an emergency management related field
  • Basic experience providing advice on Emergency Management.
  • Basic experience supporting the implementation and delivery of Emergency Management training to personnel.
  • Basic experience developing content, communication materials, campaigns and continuous awareness activities
  • Basic a few months and up to 2 years
  • Significant 2 to 6 years

  • Basic knowledge of the Public Safety requirements and EM program management in a government of Canada context.
  • Solid capability to develop and deliver training/briefings relating to emergency management, as well as the capacity to facilitate exercises.
  • Solid organizational skills in managing demanding timelines as well as responding to client needs.

Competency Profile(s):


Relocation:

Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.


Compensation:

From $64,022 to $75,389 per annum.

In addition, the incumbent who meets the language requirements will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
