Your Responsibilities:

The Account Manager, Service & Modernization (Toronto) identifies opportunities through key customer contacts and industry information.

He/She locates sources for sale of company products and services, prepares documentation for prospective current customers, and ensures it is communicated appropriately.

The Account Manager is also responsible for operational functions to assist with ensuring the delivery of service and products.

Customer and Account Management

  • Build and maintain favourable client relationships.
  • Ensure customer needs or enquires are met in a prompt, professional manner through effective communications, and follow customer complaints to satisfactory resolution.
  • Interpret customer concerns and mobilize the necessary internal resources in such a way that customer satisfaction is assured while cost and employee resources disruption is minimized.
  • Prepare & provide technical submissions on Request for Proposals (RFP)s or Request for Quotes (RFQ)s for maintenance, modernization and supporting new installations.
Modernization

  • Prepare repair job proposals by estimating labour and other job costs using internal estimating software program. Includes reviewing layout drawings, surveying equipment and interfacing with operations personnel for additional input and approvals.
  • Reviews technical specifications and labour with operations department for completeness and accuracy, and ensuring that jobs will be profitable for the branch.
  • Successfully bid, negotiate, and secure modernization contracts.
Portfolio Growth and Retention

  • Understand financial goals and expectations of company, and meet and/or exceed assigned sales and customer objectives.
  • Plan, develop and implement sales strategies to lead negotiations that are consistent with internal strategy while, at the same time, reflective of customer requirements and competitive offerings.
  • Assemble and present information for service, fixed priced repair, modernization and new installation offerings.
  • Identify and pursue potential customers to drive and support strategic growth objectives.
Process Management and Administration

  • Develop sales proposals and prepare estimates for the sale of company products and services.
  • Assure full utilization of systems and follow best demonstrated practices (BDP).
  • Prepare and maintain required customer information and files in accordance with established procedures.
  • Work in cooperation with Contract Control on sales contract agreements.
  • Manage accounts receivable for assigned accounts.
  • Participate in company professional development programs to enhance working knowledge of elevator company products, services and procedures.
  • Keep timely, wellorganized records of sales activities including but not limited to proposals, bookings, losses and cancellations using companyprovided sales management software.
Project Management

  • Assist Field Supervisors with Project Management and Service Delivery activities.
  • Assist with maintenance, repair, new installation and modernization work in area of responsibility to ensure financil budget requirements are met.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business or Engineering
years in elevator industry or related experience, or a similar industry which includes the sales, servicing, and installation of capital equipment
