Supply Chain Manager

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Manage Supply Chain team consisting of Production Planning, Customer Service, and Logistics roles.


KPIs:

  • Work towards achieving an on time, in full (OTIF) of 98% for customer orders by optimizing the production schedule and working crossfunctionally with Operations, Procurement and Customer Service
  • Liaise with customers to ensure strong working relationship and open line of communication
  • Track shorts and respond to fill rate fines in a proactive and datacentered manner
  • Assist with weekly & monthly tracking of KPIs such as Schedule Attainment, Forecast Accuracy, and OTIF %
  • Prepare and present monthly Supply Chain scorecards for Top 5 accounts

Inventory Levels:

  • Schedule all plant production lines and working with Operations Leader and Production Employees to ensure customer demand is met; prioritizing rush orders as needed, in a manner that is least disruptive to the current production schedule
  • Optimize production schedule & customer shipments to United States to ensure loads are FTL as much as possible
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to optimize plant efficiencies through strategic scheduling of product lines
  • Manage inventory to the appropriate levels based on forecasted demand
  • Reviews expired inventory monthly and identifies opportunities to salvage
  • Schedule rework of held product as necessary
  • Ensure new launches are scheduled in line with the necessary timelines and that inventory is kept conservative for items at risk of or pending discontinuation
  • Identify concerns in inventory accuracy if present

Other:

  • Interact with various 3PLs to set up new launch items, ensure OTIF adherence, and to resolve issues
  • Follow up with Quality department to ensure holds are dealt with urgently if required
  • Maintain and update capacity analysis; assist in capacity development projects
  • Assist other departments in various change initiatives including implementation and continuous improvement of forecasting, promotional, new product and new customer processes; and demand and supply planning standards
  • Act as backup for Production Scheduler, Customer Service Reps, and Director of Supply Chain as necessary

Education:

University Degree or College Diploma in related field

CSCP or other relevant Supply Chain certification(s) is an asset


Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, preferably in the food industry or other CPG

Advanced Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups, is a must

Attention to detail

Experience with 3PL

Strong communication and presentation skills

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work well under pressure
