New CDA graduates welcome

We are looking for a part-time certified dental assistant for our children's dental office. Main responsibilities include assisting the dentist in examining and cleaning the patients' teeth. May also perform some dental procedures on own if qualified.

Dental Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

Providing patient care and support
Taking Xrays of patient's teeth and processing results
Preparing the work area for procedures
Assisting dentist by handing them instruments and equipment, taking notes when needed
Educating patients on good oral hygiene habits
Stocking treatment areas and monitoring inventory

Dental Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

Accurate and precise attention to detail
Enjoys working with children
Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures
Compassionate and caring of patients
Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work in an intense, and fastpaced environment
Calm and coolheaded with a positive attitude
Complies with all regulations, protocols, and procedures
Dental Assisting certification: Licensed
Current certification in CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
X-

Ray Certification:
Meet all local and provincial requirements to operate radiography equipment
