BECC Modular is a rapidly growing volumetric modular design build company, focused on building various modular buildings, from small scale shelters and institutional buildings to large scale affordable multi-residential housing projects across Ontario.
With numerous projects won and more on the way, we are building our Construction & Management Team to be the first in hand to see our buildings come to life.
Looking for skilled construction workers that are tired of traveling to different sites all over Ontario. Enjoy working in our climate-controlled facility in a convenient location minutes from the 403.Enjoy 10 hour shifts 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday)
Core Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
- Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors.
- Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
- Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines.
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
- Ensure that daily plumbing tasks are done in accordance with the BECC's SOP's.
- Attend and actively participate in training classes and safety sessions.
- Responsible to ensure housekeeping is throughout the task you are performing.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
years of experience in commercial and institutional plumbing installation
- Experience with power tools.
- A keen eye for detail and resultsdriven approach.
- Ability to lift up to 20Kg
- Ability to read and interpreter schematics, plumbing drawing/instructions.
- Ability to read and interpreter Drawings, and details from shop drawings.
- Ability to drive change and initiate system improvements.
- An effective team player with strong problemsolving skills
- Ability to conduct testing of plumbing and hydronics systems.
Education
- An Apprenticeship in
306A or equivalent: - Completion of secondary school
- Completion of a four
