Responsibilities:


  • Manage a portfolio of clients with capital accumulation plans
  • Build and maintain excellent relations with clients
  • Participate in client meetings
  • Provide assistance to clients on plan administration issues related to their record keeper
  • Offer governance support
  • Execute scope of work deliverables as require
  • Provide project support work to the team
  • Lead special investment projects, as required
  • Collaborate with resources in other departments
  • Present materials to pension committees
Succeeding as an Associate Pension Consultant will require the following core qualifications and skills:

  • Five years or more of pension industry experience
  • Experience speaking to plan members and or plan sponsors
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the group investment and/or group retirement space
  • Postsecondary education
  • Knowledge of pension legislation and industry guidelines
  • Excellent communication, project management and presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Additional experience and training that are desirable for this role:

  • Bilingualism
  • CFA or Actuarial qualification, or a good track record in examinations
  • Plan administration
  • Life license
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
