JOB SUMMARY


Reporting to the Coatings Technical Supervisor, the WWT Technician is responsible for, but not limited to, treating waste water generated from production processes and maintaining company set parameters for all identified measurables.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow, promote and encourage good housekeeping and safe work habits.
  • Adhere to the Technical system Procedures and Instructions.
  • Make accurate additions of chemicals and make adjustments to the processes as required.
  • Set up, adjust and calibrate lab equipment including but not limited to, Ph & Conductivity meters, Hydrometers, Phos meters, etc.
  • Maintain, record, chart and report accurate information in writing as per the requirements for all support systems including the R.O. Units, D.I. Units, Boiler and Waste Water Treat system.
  • Requires working with standardized procedures with the ability to prioritize own work and use judgement to refer unusual problems to supervisor.
  • Participate in team meetings, audits and corrective action investigations.
  • Ensure the standards of Section 28 of the OHSA are met.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 education or equivalent or a combination of training/experience.

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
