FOOD

SERVICE WORKER
Temporary - August 29, 2023 to June 28, 2024

Approximately Twenty (20) hours

per week, plus additional casual hours as required.

$ $20.90

per hour

The

Simcoe County District School Board is seeking qualified applicants for the

position of Food Service Worker to work at Georgian Bay District Secondary

School. Reporting to the school

preparations, service and sales to school staff and students, working closely

with the teaching chef and culinary students serving breakfast and lunch with

additional a la carte and catering sales.

a team member.


Pertinent Skills and Experience:
Prior experience

in Nutritional standards and food safety guidelines;

Valid Food

Handlers certificate;

Demonstrates

knowledge of service, quality, equipment, and operations standards;

Ability to

multi-task, work independently and in a team environment;

Ability to receive

and process payment for cafeteria and catering services;

Strong customer

service, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills;

Able to establish

positive relationships with staff and students;

Prior knowledge of

POS (Point of Sale) systems would be an asset;

reliable and dependable.

**Schedule - 9:00

to change to meet operational needs.

Participation in the OMERS Pension Plan is mandatory for

all full-time permanent employees,
