    As an Inside Sales Consultant for Living Benefits, you will prospect and cultivate new relationships and enhance existing relationships with insurance advisors in a defined territory with the goal of increasing the sales of RBC Insurance Living Benefits Products.

    What is the Opportunity?

    As an Inside Sales Consultant for Living Benefits, you will prospect and cultivate new relationships and enhance existing relationships with insurance advisors in a defined territory with the goal of increasing the sales of RBC Insurance Living Benefits Products.

    What will you do?

    • Partner with Sales Consultant to establish a strategic business plan for the territory with defined sales targets
    • Proactively contact insurance advisors to gain information and insight into their practices
    • Discuss with the advisors to establish what are the needs of their clients, and run quotes in RBC Illustrations to see what is the best product RBCI can offer
      • Establish relationships with marketing staff of key producers/MGAs.
    • Provide insight and sales ideas related to the insurance industry, product knowledge & system training (BIC, Illustrations, etc)
    • Position RBC Insurance Living Benefits products & solutions to prospects & existing clients – as well as identifying cross selling opportunities
    • Advance the sales process with new prospects by booking presentations and meetings for the Sales Consultant
    • Maintain contact management system and develop follow-up strategy for newly contracted brokers, thank-you for large cases, etc.

    What will you need to succeed?

    Must have

    • Post-secondary education
    • Excellent organizational skills – able to respond to inquiries, suggestions, complaints and requests in a timely, courteous & professional manner.
    • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Financial Acumen – sound knowledge of financial markets, fundamentals of financial planning


    Nice to have

    • Strong Living Benefits product knowledge an asset
    • Understanding of competitive landscape and marketplace
    • Life Insurance License, LLQP (required within first 4 months of role)
