Baggage Handler, PT Montreal Terminal Department

Hourly Rate of Pay:
$17.30

Hours of Work:
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 2:45pm -11:45pm with a 1-hour unpaid break.

Job Purpose

Join our Dynamic team as a Baggage Handler and play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth travel experience for our passengers.

This position calls for energetic individuals ready to take on the responsibility of loading, unloading, and sorting luggage with precision and care.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Feel comfortable working around the public, buses and handling customer service complaints and issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work area around the terminal and baggage handling facilities.
Provide assistance to passengers with special needs or in cases of lost or mishandled baggage.
Communicate with other terminal employees to ensure prompt turnaround times.

Requirements:

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Commitment to safety procedures and regulations
Strong communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Possess good organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Be able to work in a fastpaced environment, multitask and have good problemsolving skills.
Must be dependable with a high degree of integrity.
Selfdirected and a quick learner
Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
Must be able to communicate in French and English
