Primary Purpose:
Develop revenue streams and fundraising opportunities that align with the organization's mission. Support overall growth and expansion, ensuring long-term stability and development.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Sets and ensures budgetary and visionary goals are met.
  • Formulates shortterm and longterm goals for the organization's fundraising efforts.
  • Develops actionable strategies to meet and exceed those goals through grants, sponsorships, gifts, donations, and fundraising events.
  • Structures the development team to effectively approach various financial development goals.
  • Raises awareness of the organization and its primary goals through outreach efforts, community events, publications, and media relations.
  • Identifies new and potentially lucrative revenue streams for expanding the organization's fundraising efforts.
  • Tracks revenue and fundraising trends to predict future opportunities for expansion and mitigate any downtrends in individual, corporate, or foundation gifts.
  • Provides leadership on fundraising events to ensure donor needs are met and fundraising goals are achieved.
  • Solicits donations from large corporate donors.
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with major donors by responding to inquiries, keeping them informed of recent organizational events, and demonstrating the impact of their donations.
  • Upholds ATCCC appearance and accreditation standards across all assigned department areas.
  • Serves all organizational departments and revenuegenerating streams, ensuring stability, profitability, and efficient, effective operations.

Qualifications:


  • Possess strong business knowledge and the ability to think in various business environments.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of potential donors and supporters.
  • Exhibit exceptional time management skills and the ability to meet fundraising deadlines.
  • Public speaking skills are required for speeches at fundraising events, presentations to donors on recent achievements, and meetings with board members.
  • Inspire trust and camaraderie in employees and potential donors alike.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of development strategies and public relations.
  • Motivate a team to action and maintain order among competing interests.
  • Show a willingness to learn and be teachable.
  • Serve as an example to other staff in daily living.
  • Actively demonstrate and maintain excellent working relationships with other departments.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and highly effective communication skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of the DNA of the Adult & Teen Challenge ministry.
  • Ability to mentor and advise staff and leaders as necessary.
  • Understand human nature and the physical and spiritual battles that they may face.
  • Ability to diffuse tense situations.
  • Possess working knowledge and willingness to adapt to webbased programs and reporting.
  • Be willing to undertake new assigned training.

  • Bachelor's degree required. A master's degree is recommended in nonprofit management, business administration, public administration, or community development, or at least five years of experience in fundraising, hu
