Skilled Construction Team LeadFire Ant Contracting is a growing family-owned and operated construction company based in Calgary. We specialize in interior and exterior luxury renovations, remediation, emergency response, and condo services.
We are currently seeking skilled, self-motivated, reliable, highly organized individuals with construction experience and skills to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of construction workers, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety guidelines.
- Coordinate and assign tasks to crew members, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
- Monitor work progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with construction standards and specifications.
- Operate and maintain construction equipment and tools as required.
- Collaborate with Project Manager to develop work schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Provide onthejob training and guidance to team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Foster a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, material usage, and work progress.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or technical training in construction is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, with a proven track record of successfully leading construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Proficient in interpreting and reading construction blueprints and drawings.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to problemsolve and make decisions under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
