What will you do?
In this position, our Chef will be responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Prepare meals and snacks on the menu from start to finish
Following the set nutritional menu to ensure items are prepared to meet the nutrition guidelines
Meeting allergy and dietary requirements and accommodation
Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies, and equipment.
Order groceries and supplies
Maintaining a clean kitchen and understand current disinfecting practices
Know and practice proper handwashing procedures
Follow all safety protocols

You will possess the following:

Able to work independently in a kitchen setting
Strong advocate of nutrition
Demonstrate sound knowledge of proper food handling procedures
Ability to prepare and cook large volumes for up to 150 children on a daily basis
Ability to handle food allergies and food substitution
Ability to wash, peel, cut, and slice of ingredients
Ability to sweep and mop areas
Team player, organized, flexible

Required Qualifications to Work at Kepler Academy

Current criminal record check, including vulnerable sector search
1 Year + commercial cooking experience in a highvolume kitchen environment
A Food Safety Certificate is required
First Aid Certificate preferred

This position is eligible for our company Health and Dental benefits after 90 days.

Job Description:
