Payroll and Benefits Specialist - Vancouver, Canada - BLANKSLATE Partners

Key Responsibilities
- Administrating the Benefits program, and corresponding payment processing
- Administrating the RRSP Matching Program, including remittance of monthly payroll deductions to provider
- Assist with yearend activities including preparation of annual ACA reporting, Equal Employment Opportunity reporting, T4s, W2's
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate information in HRIS system and personnel files
- Respond to employee benefit related inquires
- Respond to enquiries from internal and external sources regarding both payroll, benefit and RRSP matters
- Assist in the administration of both biweekly and semimonthly preparation of payroll package and review for Canada, US, Ireland and Singapore employees
- Compile and prepare payroll related reports and remittances after each payroll run
- Assist in processing new hires and terminations including final pays and ROEs
- Update company benefit policies when needed
- Employee Onboarding orientation & offboarding/LOA meetings to discuss benefit transitions
- Liaise and collaborate with various departments on special projects
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Minimum 23 years of experience in Payroll & Benefits Administration with a strong preference for Canadian experience, in addition to US or international an asset.
- Completion of the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) from the Canadian Payroll Association an asset
- Experience working with ADP Workforce Now and SAP SuccessFactors strongly preferred
- Experience in a fastpaced, high change environment
- Knowledge of Payroll and Benefits policies and practices
- Proficient with Excel, Word and MS Outlook
- Basic accounting knowledge is a plus
- Ability to problem solve and work efficiently under deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and multitasking skills
- Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and client service skills
- Accuracy and speed in data entry an absolute must
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment
- Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality on matters that require discretion.
