Your day to day activities will include:
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations and available inventory.
- Recruit and book loads with 3rd party carriers.
- Releasing railcars and track them.
- Deal with afterhours calls on a 24/7 basis for any delivery related issues and changes.
- Depending on location, you could also be scheduling company owned bulk tanker drivers as well as payroll activities for them.
- Arrange truck and trailer drop offs for repairs and maintenance.
- Collaborate with other internal departments and work within tight deadlines.
- Carry out various administrative components related to freight such as detention charges, BOL's to invoicing department.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Degree in logistics or related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of legal regulations, Ontario Highway Traffic act and hours of service requirements.
- Experience with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) considered an asset.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and high proficiency in Excel)
- Ability to independently handle multiple projects.
- High level of analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication, negotiating and customer service skills.
- Ability to use and navigate Logistics routing software.
