This position will be primarily located at our Head Office in Cambridge, however there is some travel involved.

Your day to day activities will include:

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations and available inventory.
  • Recruit and book loads with 3rd party carriers.
  • Releasing railcars and track them.
  • Deal with afterhours calls on a 24/7 basis for any delivery related issues and changes.
  • Depending on location, you could also be scheduling company owned bulk tanker drivers as well as payroll activities for them.
  • Arrange truck and trailer drop offs for repairs and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments and work within tight deadlines.
  • Carry out various administrative components related to freight such as detention charges, BOL's to invoicing department.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Degree in logistics or related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of legal regulations, Ontario Highway Traffic act and hours of service requirements.
  • Experience with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) considered an asset.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and high proficiency in Excel)
  • Ability to independently handle multiple projects.
  • High level of analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiating and customer service skills.
  • Ability to use and navigate Logistics routing software.
