Machining Documentation Specialist
As a Machining Documentation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in documenting detailed instructions for the machining process.
Skilled in basic photography, understanding drawings, you will capture images of parts in various stages of production.
Your work duties will extend to the development of versatile setup sheets, incorporating critical parameters, tooling specifications, and precise part orientations for optimal machining operations.
Collaborating closely with CNC and manual machine operators and machinists, you will extract insights to enhance the accuracy of documentation.Job Duties:
- Collect information from the shop and fill out the template that outlines work instructions, tooling, and fixture details
- Taking photos of cutters, tool holders, and workpiece setup
- Basic understanding of drawings, working in word and excel
- Creating clear and easy to understand setup sheets that includes critical parameters, tooling specifications, and part orientations necessary.
- Working closely with machine operators to gather information ensures that the setup sheets align with the practical aspects of machining.
- Regularly update and maintain the accuracy of existing setup sheets
- Maintain record of files and produce when required
- Collect quantitative process data from the machines
Qualifications:
- Working proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PDFs
- Must be able to speak and write English fluently.
- Basic knowledge using Digital cameras and editing software's (MS Paint)
- Education: High school Diploma in vocational stream or certificate course in CNC machining or Experience in machine shop environment.

Salary:
$17.00-$20.00 per hour
