RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Create and maintain a comprehensive wine list, ensuring it is uptodate and accurately reflects the current trends.
  • Develop and execute a wine training program for all Associates, ensuring they possess the knowledge and skills to provide exceptional sales and service.
  • Provide expert guidance to our Customers in selecting wines that complement their preferences, food choices, and budget.
  • Conduct regular wine tastings and events, educating our Customers about various wines, regions, and pairing suggestions.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, new releases, and emerging wine regions.
  • Collaborate with our Culinary team to create wine and food pairings that enhance the overall dining experience.
  • Establish relationships with wine suppliers and negotiate pricing to ensure a diverse and highquality wine selection.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track sales, and make recommendations for restocking and purchasing new wines.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Previous experience as a Sommelier in a highend restaurant or fine dining establishment with a proven track record for sales and customer recognition.
  • A passion for wine and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Certification from CAPS Professional Sommelier Certification Program or a similar recognized Sommelier program (ie: Court of Master Sommeliers).
  • Extensive knowledge of wines, including different varietals, regions, and vintages.
  • Strong understanding of food and wine pairings, and the ability to recommend wines based on customer preferences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with our Customers and Associates alike.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and educate staff on wine service and product knowledge.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment.
