Reporting to the Senior Clinical Leader, Virtual Health, the Clinical Leader, Virtual Health uses expertise in care transformation, clinical service delivery, operations, project implementation and virtual health to lead and support PHSA clinical programs to implement new and innovative virtual health initiatives.

With support and guidance from Senior Clinical Leaders, and in collaboration with Office of Virtual Health and clinical program leaders, the Clinical Leader, Virtual Health will work with clinicians in program areas to develop, implement and evaluate new initiatives by utilizing virtual service models and enabling technologies to connect patients, families and clinicians.

The Clinical Leader, Virtual Health is responsible for leading clinical requirements gathering, clinical workflow design, practice supports and change management for existing and new virtual health initiatives.

This role maintains collaborative relationships and engages with clinical leaders, staff, Professional Practice, patients and other relevant stakeholders to support innovation in care delivery, and ensure developments that promote quality patient care are clinically-led, enabled by technology, and meet clinical needs.


What you'll do

  • Leads and facilitate clinical teams through the identification of clinical requirements for virtual health solutions
  • Works with program clinical leadership, clinical staff, physicians, and patients to develop, implement, and evaluate virtual health priorities
  • Leads clinical teams through proofofconcept projects by implementation of approved virtual health initiatives
  • Leads and supports the development and implementation of clinical workflow redesign and change management initiatives to support clinical practice in the transformation of care through implementation of virtual health solutions
  • Work collaboratively with other OVH team members to lead and support phases of project management including, but not limited to: coordinating meetings; project planning; evaluation and monitoring of deliverables; presenting to internal and external audiences; preparing reports
  • Supports the development of procedures and protocols to enable integration of virtual health solutions into clinical practice and operations; ensuring best practice models for service delivery
  • Acts as a liaison between clinical programs and OVH to address functional change requests, reporting and monitoring of issues, and implementation of communication strategies
  • Builds engagement and participation with key stakeholders for virtual health work across PHSA programs
  • Facilitates meetings with clinical teams/programs and supports applicable committees as required
  • Lead and coordinate a collaborative teambased framework incorporating resources from clinical departments, programs, and vendor partners as it relates to virtual health implementations

What you bring

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in related health discipline, a minimum of five years of clinical practice, including recent 2years' experience in a clinical leadership role/capacity; or an equivalent level of education, training, and experience. Experience in project management, facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups, system transformation, and quality improvement are considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills. Knowledgeable regarding new trends in virtual clinical practice and information systems. Knowledge and practice in effective problemsolving techniques and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clinical, technical, operational and vendor staff. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team. Change oriented and possesses an attitude of continuous improvement. Selfmotivated, able to work with mínimal direct supervision, and has a demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload in a selfdirected manner. Ability to coach, facilitate and lead others. Advanced computer skills required, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Visio, Outlook and Excel.
