The Role:


Location:

Our Corporate Office is located in Bolton, ON.

We offer Remote/Hybrid Flex work with visits into the office on an as-needed basis, depending on the role and function.

The incumbent for this role must possess a valid drivers license with access to transportation to travel to our Corporate Office approximately 2-4 times per month, on an as needed basis.


What You'll Be Doing:


  • Lead and oversee all onboarding and orientation tasks for nonunion new hires across The Beer Store & Brewers Distributor Ltd., update and maintain all onboarding and orientation materials, and provide support to our hiring managers to create a warm and welcoming new hire experience.
  • Facilitate the Externship Program and Culture Connect Program for Corporate Office new hires.
  • Assist with the offboarding process for nonunion employees by conducting exit interviews for resignations and updating the master HR tracking file.
  • Administer our monthly Milestone Service Awards and Retirement Awards Program, partner with our Service Award vendor, manage and replenish stock for our physical milestone awards, and respond to employee & retiree inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide ongoing administrative support for various employee engagement and recognition programs such as our Peer Recognition Program, Employee Engagement Surveys, Kegs & Cases employee magazine, and Employee Special Offers.
  • Administer our Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) online platform, promote services & offerings from our EFAP provider, develop internal communications and/or activations for mental health & wellness awareness days, and promote additional resources to support the mental health & wellbeing of our team members.
  • Assist employees and managers with Maternity & Parental Leaves of Absence requests.
  • Administer our ongoing Continuing Education Program and Annual Scholarship Program.
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of internal employee contesting and inperson or virtual events.
  • Develop posters, presentations, and/or written communications for internal events, contests, and other HR initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


Education:


  • Completion of a Post-Secondary Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Human Resources Management
  • Valid drivers license with access to a vehicle required

Experience:


  • 25 years of related work experience in Human Resources
  • Experience working with an HRIS such as PeopleSoft or SAP is considered an asset
  • Experience designing engaging PowerPoint presentations and basic graphic design skills considered an asset

Skills:


  • Intermediate skills in MS Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for delivering an exceptional employee experience
  • Selfstarter who is actionoriented and able to proactively identify problem areas and recommend solutions
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills, comfortable managing multiple ongoing projects and priorities
  • Selfmotivated, prioritizes tasks and works independently with minimum supervision
  • Comfortable working under pressure, dealing with unforeseen changes, and pivoting quickly
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with diplomacy and tact
  • Understanding of HR best practices and Canadian employment laws and regulations
