- Act as a subject matter expert in identifying best solutions and uses of technology to drive business growth, profitability, and efficiencies.
- Work with expert users and business representatives to determine business requirements that must be met through enhancements in technology.
- Manage client relationships and facilitate requirement gathering sessions / discussions.
- Works with systems analysts, application developers and business analysts to identify options for potential solutions and the impact to systems, while assessing both technical and business suitability.
- Manage daily operations and functionality of the application within production support area, resolve production problems and errors.
- Test system enhancements and products for discrepancies, and document relevant data in an accurate and timely manner as required.
- Research, evaluate and recommend operational procedures and best practices to optimize processes and workflow efficiencies.
- Mentor and train less experienced business systems analysts.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge and understanding of company operations/procedures, and insurance industry trends/developments, to enhance the Systems analysis process.
- Post-secondary education in a related field (i.e. Computer Science, Business Administration) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 6-8 years of Business Systems experience.
- Minimum 1-3 years of project management experience.
- Knowledge of insurance, business, and technical areas; Property and Casualty Insurance experience preferred.
