The Operations Coordinator is responsible for many processes related to their sector.

Your primary mandate will be to ensure that the client and partner experience matches the company's ambition of optimally meeting the needs of our clients and partners.

To this end, you will be responsible for supervising a service team of approximately 15 technicians who deal primarily with the process of in and out transfers of self-directed accounts and non-financial changes.


Your position will be divided into various functions:

Team management

  • Responsible for human resources, their development and for ensuring that their segment's objectives are achieved
  • Plan and supervise the training of incoming employees
  • Plan skill improvement activities and schedule continuous training activities on topics including new procedures, policies, laws, products, etc.
  • Help recruit and develop employees, and contribute to annual employee performance appraisal meetings
  • Develop and encourage critical thinking within your team

Client and partner relations

  • Follow up with clients, advisors, financial institutions, etc. on files requiring additional explanations or adjustments to our typical practices, including the assessment of financial impacts
  • Work in close collaboration with different process teams
  • Suggest and implement changes to our standards and procedures

Strategic process evolution

  • Supervise LEAN activities while ensuring that daily meetings (DMSs) are conducted effectively, and ensure that team members take responsibility for problem solving
  • Ensure that our service standards and the quality of the transactions we perform are respected
  • Research methods for improving the quality, efficiency and productivity of our operations while reviewing and analyzing the potential for automating tasks or certain steps of the processes
  • Ensure that adequate controls are implemented
  • Stay abreast of the latest legislative developments
  • Understand and measure the financial risk involved in transaction requests and approve requests for highrisk transactions
  • Take charge of more complex files and contact the various partners involved
  • Contribute to the evolution of business processes and mobilize your team to achieve the resulting objectives

Desired profile:


  • Bachelor's degree in administration, finance, accounting or a related field
  • Four to five years of related experience in the financial field, including one to three years in human resources management
  • Prioritization skills and a mind for analysis and synthesis
  • Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) course (asset)
  • Indepth knowledge of regulations governing registered products (asset)
  • Excellent command of French and English, written and spoken
